Flabber is a phantasm who was trapped inside a pipe organ, and was freed by the kids when they played three notes on the organ. He proves to be friendly, and out of gratitude for releasing him, he offered to grant them one wish. They wished to become their comic book heroes. Although his magic doesn't always work the way they hoped it would, he acts as an advisor and best friend, he offers needed magic to the kids when fighting the Crustaceans. He is the head of the Hillhurst Mansion and is usually the one to keep the house monsters in check.
Arthur Fortunes
Arthur "Art" Fortunes is the creator of the Beetleborgs comics. When the Beetleborgs were in a jam, they went to him at a Comics Book convention for his help. From then on, he shows up time and time again with new ways to help the kids. His brother Les turned out to be the one who drew Nukus.
Astral Borgs
Four Beetleborgs created by Art Fortunes as a child when he and Les worked together on their only collaboration called the Lost Comic. They are Dragonborg, Fireborg, Lightingborg, and Ladyborg. They have weaponry that they sometimes lent to the main three Beetleborgs.
Count Fangula
Count Fangula is a vampire, a not so good one, at least he is friendly. He loses one of his fangs in a door when Frankie and Mum chased after the kids when they first meet them. He is the only one that can understand Wolfie and translate for him.
Called "Frankie" for short, he is a strange, lumbering Frankenstein-type monster. He was once kidnapped by the Magnavores, and held by ransom in exchange for the Beetleborgs' Beetle Bonders. Dr. Baron von Frankenbeans, his creator, later showed up and had various visits.
Mums is a 5,000 year-old Egyptian mummy, but he can unwrap his bandages to reveal a different form under his bandages. He has 703 brothers and sisters. Two archaeologists came to return Mums to the crypt in which they found him in order to get rid of a curse placed on them.
Wolfgang "Wolfie" Smith is a werewolf and is treated more like a family dog than a monster at Hillhurst. Only Fangula can translate what Wolfie is saying most of the time. Probably the bravest and most cunning of the Hillhurst Monsters because he's the only one of the group who has tangled with the bad guys at least once.
Little Ghoul
She lives in the basement and rarely comes out. The niece of the Grim Reaper, she is a grim reaper-in-training who loves collecting things. She also happens to have a short temper, which scares the other monsters even more than her true appearance under her hood. She has little to no respect for anyone. She does, however, have a great deal of respect for the Astralborgs.
The girl of Drew's dreams. No matter what happen, Drew could never tell Heather how he really felt. She not only helped out at the comic shop from time to time, she also enjoyed reading comics. She developed a crush on Josh, much to Drew's detest.
Roland's grandmother, and Abbie's mother-in-law. Nano defeats the stereotype of a fragile old lady, she is a trained martial artist and rides her motorcycle around the town. She practices her moves in Zoom Comics, as she runs it as well. Nano often helps out the kids when they're in a jam. If nothing else, she enjoys teasing her son Aaron.
Abbie Williams
Roland's mother assumed responsibility over Zoom Comics, when her husband went away on business. She and her mother in-law don't usually see eye to eye but she didn't really know how to run a comic book shop. With a little help from Flabber's magic, Abbie's heart opened up and rekindled fond childhood memories of a comics she once loved reading.
When all eight of the Astral Coins were reunited with the Astral Sword, Roboborg arrived on Earth. Roboborg is summoned when the Chromium Gold Beetleborg holds the Astral Sword in the air and shouts "Roboborg!". It wields a weapon called the Robo Sword, which can perform an attacked known as the Robo Cyclone.
Les Fortunes created the Astral Ax, the evil counterpart to the Astral Sword, and with it Roboborg's evil counterpart, Boron. Used by Mega Nukus to summon Boron, simply by shouting out, "Boron, Arise!". In the battle against Repgillian, the Beetleborgs tricked the Crustaceans into giving up the Astral Ax so it could fall into the hands of Titanium Silver Beetleborg. Boron then switched to the sides of good.
