| When the Rangers first meet Albert Smith, he is a self-proclaimed adventurer and Bigfoot hunter as the owner of Bigfoot Tours in New Zealand. He is also a freelance photographer. The Rangers were to New Zealand to investigate a photo Albert took of Sledge's ship was featured in a local newspaper. He surprises them by becoming the Purple Ranger during a battle but then shies away from the battle. Albert sees himself as a fraud, having faked encounters with Bigfoot. He is, however, truly an adventurer. He also has a big heart, saving a lost child in the cold mountains. This is where the Purple Energem chooses him to be a Ranger. However, as he is actually afraid of monsters, he stays away from battle, paralyzed by fear, despite his physical prowess. When Tyler falls once more under the hands of Iceage, Albert becomes a Ranger one last time and tricks the monsters into falling for his Bigfoot traps by feigning back pain and poor swordsmanship. Albert decides to retire as a Ranger and Keeper de-bonds him with his Energem. |
